Two women from P.E.T.A.: People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, stood outside the restaurant at noontime, dressed only in yellow bikinis.
They say that they braved the elements to protest what they say is ":abusive treatment": of chickens on factory farms and in slaughterhouses.
Their skimpy outfits were meant to, in their words, ":heat things up,": and make customers aware of what they call ":cold-hearted": treatment by KFC.
In a statement to a local newspaper, company spokesman Rick Maynard says ":KFC is committed to the well-being and humane treatment of chickens.":
