The Kennebec County Sheriffs Department had a search warrant in hand when they arrived at Russel Truman’s home on Northern Avenue Sunday.
Officials say Truman came home when they were there and once he realized what was happening he tried to make a run for it.
Truman reportedly jumped from a second-story landing, which is estimated to be approximately 20 feet off the ground, then took off running, trying to get rid of evidence on the way.
Police caught up with him, and say they found 15 grams of Cocaine, about 60 doses of Heroin, 50 prescription pills, and related drug paraphernalia.
Truman is now facing a number of charges including drug trafficking, falsifying evidence, and refusing to submit to arrest.
Police say tips from the public helped lead them to Truman.
