A convoy of trucks bearing Christmas wreaths made in Maine left Sunday for Arlington National Cemetery.
Morrill Worcester, owner of Worcester Wreath Co., said that altogether Wreaths Across America is shipping more than 100,000 wreaths, a figure that’s expected to be a record.
The trucks left Sunday.
In addition to Arlington National Cemetery, wreaths are being shipped to 354 locations nationwide. It’s also sending them to 24 more sites overseas, including several in Iraq.
Worcester started the tradition in 1992 of laying wreaths at Arlington National Cemetery. His company is donating 18,000 wreaths to the effort.
