Northeast Harbor Stabbing

The call for help came in at around 2:45 a.m. Sunday.

Mount Desert Police Officer Leigh Guildford tells TV 5 the victim is a 28-year old man from Sullivan. His name has not been released.

A Northeast Harbor resident reported a man had knocked on his door, claiming he had been stabbed.

The victim told police he had been picked up by acquaintances and taken to a location on MDI. Some sort of argument broke out and the man was stabbed in the midsection.

He was taken to a local hospital, treated and released.

Officer Guilford says no arrests have been made, but police do not believe this was a random act.

They plan to interview the victim again Tuesday.
