Snowy, slippery roads led to accidents across Eastern and Central Maine Saturday.
Parts of Route 1A in the Lucerne-Dedham areas were shut down for several hours Saturday afternoon, as emergency crews responded to accidents there.
Slippery conditions also led to a crash on the Interstate in the Argyle area.
It happened around 11:30 a.m.
According to police, a Jeep Liberty was travelling in the passing lane, when the driver lost control of the vehicle, skidded several feet down an embankment before hitting a boulder and becoming airborne.
The vehicle ended up landing on its side, quite a distance off of the road.
The passenger was pinned inside.
Members of the Alton Fire Department, and Old Town rescue had to cut the roof off of the Jeep to free her.
She suffered only minor injuries.
