The Hashey family bought the television as an early Christmas present to each other, but when they brought it home and hooked it up to cable, they got a very unwelcome present.
While they were setting the cable up, an extremely graphic adult program began playing on their new set.
The worst part was, their daughter was in the room.
Time Warner told them it was because of a problem with the chip in their new T.V., but the television’s manufacturer says it’s a cable transmitting problem.
All Monique Hashey knows for sure is that this is one Christmas memory she would rather forget.
Hashey says a Time Warner customer service representative told her she could fix the problem by setting the TV’s parental controls to block out all adult rated programming.
