Flags flew at half-staff in Hartland and Palmyra Saturday to honor a fallen firefighter.
49-year-old Michael Snowman was helping to fight a house fire in Detroit Monday when he had an apparent heart attack.
He was a 25-year veteran of the Hartland Fire Department.
A funeral service was held Saturday at the Hartland First Baptist Church.
A procession of public safety personnel, color guards and bands followed the church service in a parade to the Hartland fire department for a ":last alarm": service.
From there, Snowman’s body was taken by fire truck to a local cemetery for a private burial.
He leaves behind his wife Laureen and three grown children.
