Aman from Searsport accused of holding 11 fifth-graders hostage in Stockton Springs last month has been charged in another crime. The Waldo County Grand Jury indicted 55-year-old Randall Hofland for criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon.
Hofland is accused of pointing a gun at a Searsport police officer and then taking off into the woods. A week later he showed up at the Stockton Springs Elementary School.
Hofland is in the Waldo County Jail on $1,000,000 bail, charged with kidnapping and criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon in connection with the hostage situation.
