Robert LaPointe was sentenced to three-and-a-half years behind bars on Wednesday.
He was convicted in September of aggravated operating under the influence.
Prosecutors say he was drunk and speeding across Long Lake in Harrison when he crashed into a smaller boat, killing two people.
The collision happened at night, and LaPointe’s lawyer claimed his client couldn’t see the other boat because its lights were not on.
At his sentencing the judge said LaPointe lied about his drinking and said his ":failure to take responsibility, and his lack of remorse are stunning.":
