A man was rushed to the hospital after flying off the southbound lanes of Interstate 95.
Witnesses say 35-year-old John Hanson’s vehicle was traveling normally when all of the sudden his car veered to the left.
It ended up rolling in the median before slamming sideways into some trees.
Fortunately, the passenger side took the brunt of the impact. Police say that, had there been a passenger travelling with Hanson, they most likely would have died.
John Hanson is believed to be from the Pittsfield area. He was pried from the wreckage and rushed to the hospital.
His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
