Fire fighters were called to a mobile home on the Old Waterville Road in Oakland at around 3:30 am.
When crews arrived, the back of the home was engulfed in flames.
We’re told that the dad and his kids were able to get out of the home unharmed, and they ran to a neighbor’s house to call for help.
Fire fighters from at least four towns worked quickly, and were able to save the front part of the house.
Oakland fire chief Dave Coughlin says the toughest part was waiting for the electricity to be shut off so they could go inside.
There has been no word yet on a cause.
