Detectives Still Looking for Clues In Augusta Homicide

Homicide detectives were back at the scene over the weekend, seeking clues in the slaying of a 52-year-old man found dead Thursday night in his home in Augusta.

Law enforcement officials say they believe Michael Roderick was killed that same day. An autopsy was performed Friday but the cause of death is being withheld.

Detectives returned Saturday to the home on Eastern Avenue, where Roderick lived for 25 years.

A fall at work in 1981 had left him disabled, and police said he had been living alone.

Roderick’s death was the third reported homicide in Augusta this year.
