They’re working on a story on the unsolved murder of Joyce McLain. She was killed 28 years ago when she was sixteen.
The case gained new attention last month when two internationally known forensic experts re-examined McLain’s body after an exhumation.
Doctors Michael Baden and Henry Lee say McLain’s body was in surprisingly good condition and they collected new evidence to rekindle the investigation.
Maine State Police are now interviewing new and previous witnesses and taking a fresh look at old leads.
People reporters will interview Joyce’s mother, Pam McLain, and also visit the site where Joyce’s body was discovered.
No word yet on when the story will appear in People Magazine.
