Mainer’s Dry Out After Hanna

Many areas of the state saw heavy rain, thanks to the remnants of tropical storm Hanna.

Flash flood watches were posted for much of Maine. Some parts of the state were hit with more than an inch of rain an hour.

The weather also caused some power outages.

Most happened Saturday night and Sunday morning, when the winds picked up in coastal areas like Machias, and took down trees and power lines.

Bangor Hydro crews repaired the lines quickly, and most customers had power back by Sunday.
