Safer Highways

The state police say 101 people have been killed on Maine’s roads so far this year, 10 fewer than up to this time last year.

But not everyone has safety in mind on the state’s highways.

Troopers are still looking for a pair of motorcyclists who got away after being clocked at 130 mph last week on the Maine Turnpike.

A third biker who split from the group survived a crash and faces several charges.
