The company First Wind is hosting an informational meeting about the Rollins wind project at Mattanawcook academy.
The project, which is in the developmental stages, would build more than three dozen wind turbines in the towns of Lincoln, Lee, Winn, and Burlington.
The endeavor was started more than five years ago with site testing.
First Wind, which has been in charge of the projects in Mars Hill and on Stetson Mountain, has also been testing to see if there’s enough wind to sustain turbines in the Lincoln area.
The meeting will be open to questions and comments.
The responses will all be part of the paperwork that goes before the department that awards construction permits.
The Rollins Wind Project will also include about eight and a half miles of electrical transmission line, and electrical substation in Lee, and operations and maintenance buildings in Lincoln.
The meeting starts at six o’clock Wednesday night, and it is open to anyone.
