Stockton Springs Fire

The fire call on Lower Sylvan Road came in at 11:51 a.m. Friday.

Stockton Springs fire chief Harry Patterson says by the time his company arrived, the house was fully engulfed in flames. Crews from Prospect and Searsport responded as well.

Roger Tripp, Natasha Paradise, and two children are displaced from the home now, and they did not have insurance. The Red Cross responded to assist the family.

A cause is not determined, but the family says the only thing they can think of is they left the dryer running when they left. Although officials don’t think the fire is suspicious, the fire marshal’s office is investigating.
