Police have identified the man killed in a horrific motorcycle crash in Bangor Saturday.
It happened just before 8 p.m. on Maine Avenue.
The victim is identified as 28-year-old Adam Lawrence of Corinth.
Witnesses say Lawrence passed several cars at a high rate of speed, then lost control of his motorcycle and swerved into the oncoming lane.
He was then ejected from the bike, and was thrown head-first into a utility pole.
Lawrence was pronounced dead at the scene.
He was not wearing a helmet.
Police say although the investigation is still underway, they believe speed was a factor…and possibly alcohol as well.
