Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor will present new plans next week, to tackle parking space problems at the hospital.
The hospital originally proposed tearing down the Wing Estate, an historic building across the street, to make more room.
Another building, the Robinson House, was also considered for an additional parking area.
The plans prompted a neighborhood outcry last fall.
Since then, the hospital has been working with the State Street Neighborhood Work Group, to develop another proposal, such as adding on to the current parking garage.
A hospital spokesperson says there’s now a new plan to increase parking directly on the hospital campus.
Details of that plan will be unveiled at a community meeting next Tuesday, at the hospital at 6:30PM.
