The call came in from a neighbor, a little after 2 am.
It’s not clear if anyone was living in the mobile home, though crews think that the home was empty at the time of the fire.
When fire fighters arrived, flames had already flattened a garage, and had quickly spread to the house.
Bradford’s fire chief, Scott Demoranville, says that once the fire spread, it went quickly:
":The hardest part about the trailer fires is that they’re a low ceiling, narrow structure, they hold a tremendous amount of heat, and it takes a fraction of the time for them to collapse as it would in a normal structure.":
The chief says crews were able to stop the flames from flattening the home, but the interior is pretty well gutted.
