Two men were killedMonday afternoon when the S.U.V. they were riding in crashed on the interstate in Old Town.

State police say 59-year old Gregory Hoyt and 57-year old Bruce Sawyer, both of Windham were killed when Hoyt over-corrected after falling asleep at the wheel Monday afternoon.

Sgt. Mark Brooks says Hoyt and Sawyer, along with two friends, were returning home from a camping trip up north when the accident happened.

Brooks says witnesses told state police the S-U-V flipped end over end several times.

The two men riding in the back seat: 61-year old Karl Hartwell of Gorham and 50-year old David Daigle of Windham, were taken to Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor with non-life threatening injuries.
