A bicyclist was killed after getting hit by a logging truck in the Southern Maine town of Sanford Monday afternoon.
43-year-old Susan Coy of Sanford was riding on Route 202 when she was run over by the loaded truck.
Police say the truck’s driver drove off immediately following the accident, and they say he may not have realized the accident occurred.
According to officers, Coy was riding in the wrong lane when she was hit.
State law says that all cyclists need to ride on the right hand side of the road, travelling with traffic.
