UTC’s Molten Chocolate Cakes 


2 cups flour

2 cups sugar

1 cup baking cocoa

2 teaspoons baking soda

1 teaspoon salt

10 tablespoons oil

2 beaten eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla

2 cups hot (not boiling) water

Mix all dry ingredients together. In a separate bowl mix all wet ingredients. Combine the wet and the dry, whisk together, do not over mix. Pour into 4-6 ounce cups and bake at 350 for 12 minutes, after 12 minutes remove from oven, and place 1 tablespoon of firm ganache in the center of each cake. Return to the oven and bake for 10-12 minutes more. Let cool 20 minutes before removing.

Ganache recipe

1 cup Chocolate chips

1 cup heavy cream

Bring cream to a boil and pour over chocolate chips let sit for 5 minutes and then whisk to combine. Refrigerate overnight.
