Plymouth Accident

That was the case in Plymouth Thursday afternoon when a young woman spun out of control on the interstate.

Police say her car went off the highway and rolled over.

As it did, her windows shattered, and the cab of the vehicle was packed so tightly with snow that rescue crews had to use the jaws of life to free her.

The woman, who’s in her 20’s, was rushed to Eastern Maine Medical Center where she’s expected to recover.

In the Alton Bog area, a tractor trailer slipped off the interstate northbound, landing in the median.

State police say the icy conditions are making it too dangerous to move the rig right away, it’s expected to be towed Friday morning.
