The affected areas would be the southbound lanes from West Gardiner to Topsham.
The Maine Department of Transportation has proposed the shutdown as a quicker and cheaper way to rebuild the road.
At the meeting, the department will provide information and address questions about traffic management, safety issues, and the construction schedule.
If the plan is adopted, the shutdown is projected will begin in mid-June and continue through the end of August.
Traffic would be diverted southbound onto Route 201.
