Game wardens found the man’s sled in the Kennebec River.
49-year-old Ray Paine was last seen Friday night at about nine thirty.
He’d been snowmobiling with a friend in North Anson.
The men split up for the return trip.
Paine never made it back home.
Wardens searched by foot, and with planes and airboats, all day Saturday.
On Sunday morning, Paine’s Yamaha snowmobile was found in the water in North Anson.
Wardens say the ice had recently thawed on that part of the river.
Game wardens dragged the river until early Sunday evening.
A dive team will arrive Monday morning at eight to search for Paine’s body.
