Heroin Found at Head Start Program

Jeff Paquette found nine packets of heroin Tuesday, just feet away from a head start classroom outside the Kennebec Valley Community Action Program building on King Street.

Paquette, Maintenance Director for K.V.-CAP, says he noticed the small package when he was unloading tables from his truck.

He took the packets that read, &quot:Blue Magic&quot: on them into the building to ask if anyone knew what they were.

After looking up &quot:Blue Magic&quot: on the internet they quickly found out what they were dealing with and called police.

Deputy Chief Rumsey says a child could have been injured or killed if the drug was ingested.

Police say the street value of that heroin is close to three hundred dollars.
