Robbery Suspects In Court 

A man accused of attacking an elderly shopper in the Bangor Mall parking lot on Tuesday was in Penobscot County District Court Wednesday afternoon.

Jeremy Winn was arrested in Waterville on Tuesday, Feb. 19th.

Police say the 73-year old victim reported that a man, believed to be Winn came up to her in the mall parking lot between JC Penney and Macy’s. Then grabbed her purse.

She held on and he dragged her a few feet before letting go.

He then reportedly dropped a gun, picked it up and jumped into a car.

Winn is charged with Class A robbery and if found guilty he could face 30 years behind bars.

Bryant Clyburn (22) was arraigned in Augusta Superior Court Wednesday afternoon as well.

Clyburn was arrested by Waterville police Tuesday after an officer approached the vehicle that he an Winn were sitting in, and found a loaded gun between Clyburn’s legs.

Jeremy Winn (23) was a passenger in that car.

Clyburn has multiple charges pending including possession of a firearm by a felon.

He has not been charged in connection with the attempted robbery in Bangor.

He remains at the Kennebec County Jail with bail set at $75,000.
