Fire Claims Home in Holden 

The call came in around 3:30 Tuesday morning that the home at 288 Clark Hill Road in Holden.

Fire fighters from at least five towns reported to the fire. When crews arrived, the house was already fully engulfed in flames.

Holden fire captain Ryan Davis says a family of five was inside when the flames broke out.

&quot:Everyone got out due to the smoke alarms.&quot: Davis told TV5 at the scene Tuesday morning. &quot:They said that they woke up and heard the smoke alarms go off, which awoke them and got them outside.&quot:

Captain Davis says the house was completely destroyed by the flames.

It’s believed the blaze started in the basement. There has been no word yet on a cause.

The Red Cross has been called in to assist the family.
