National Letter of intent day

FOUR OF THE 18 SENIORS COMING TO UMAINE TO PLAY FOOTBALL ARE FROM MAINE….DON CLARK OF WINSLOW IS THE ONLY EASTERN MAINER. ON NATIONAL LETTER OF INTENT DAY….THE FUTURE OF NOT ONLY FOOTBALL TEAMS, BUT FIELD HOCKEY AND TRACK WILL BE SHAPED…..

I’ve been real nervous through the whole thing its uncharted, its all new.

Clark is 6’6&quot: and 265 pounds and still new to the sport.

He’s only played here at Winslow two years and I think they propably recognize his unlimited potential and athleticism.

Jack Cosgrove says he’s trying to fill all categories with his new players.

we have some top notch prospects and now we got to get to work with them see them grow over the course of time.

At Messalonskee high in Oakland two Eagles accepted scholarships. Beth Ridley to Stanford and Jesse LaBreck to UMaine. LaBreck has won 7 state titles in track… three of them state records. This has been a goal for awhile.

I had hoped that I would ever since freshman year wanted to run track in college, but I didn’t know for sure til last year.

And Ridley is a regional all American in field hockey.

I looked at alot of different schools and had to decide if I wanted good athletics or academics but Stanford is the best school in the country combined.
