People were packed in the Job Corp Gym on Union Street for the annual christmas party on Tuesday, where Manna served dinner to the families, then provided entertainment.
Afterwards, kids could pick up the gifts they had signed up for.
Organizer Shelley Adams says the goal was to provide for anyone who came to their door.
":To some it means absolutely everything, they don’t… I just had a lady walk in the door and say ‘I didn’t sign up: we don’t have any income…’ You know: ‘I heard there was a dinner here…’ And I said ‘Yeah there is’ and I directed her to a dinner, and so everything we give her is going to be blessing in her life.":
More than 1,500 gifts were wrapped this past weekend by volunteers to give to the families.
