Police say his death appears to be alcohol related.
Adam Baxter died in Portland early Saturday morning. His body was found at a home on Forest Avenue bye EMTs and police. They had been called to that location for a man having trouble breathing.
Portland police say they’re interviewing people who were at the house and trying to figure out what happened before Baxter’s body was found.
An autopsy was being performed Monday at the State Medical Examiner’s Office.
Baxter started 16 of 17 games for UMaine during his rookie season. He was named to the America East All-Rookie Team.
Baxter was from Skegness, England.
