A 46-year-old mother from Hampden has been
jailed pending the outcome of federal charges that she mailed bomb
threats that shut down three Bangor-area schools for a day in
Jodi Lynn Holmes allegedly told investigators that she sent the
letters to Hampden Academy, John Bapst Memorial High School and
Bangor Christian Schools during what was ":a bad mental health
week": and that her goal was to terrorize the recipients.
Holmes waived her right to a competency hearing after undergoing
a two-month mental health evaluation. She also agreed to be held in
the Penobscot County Jail pending the outcome of her case.
