Man Must Pay For Acadia Damage

Aman from Southwest Harbor who destroyed part of a campground in Acadia National Park has been ordered to pay more than$3600 to cover the cost of repairs. A judge also sentenced Gregory Gilley to three years of probation and fined him$1000. Gilley pleaded guilty in June to destroying property in the park, a federal felony.

Last December, Gilley drove hisATV to the Seawall Campground. He repeatedly rammed it into cement and brass light fixtures that line the walkway to the campground’s amphitheater.
