Two Marines Face Poaching Charges 

Two young men are facing jail time and big fines.

They’re accused of illegally killing three moose in Somerset county.

Game Wardens were called after border patrol agents discovered a broken down pickup truck on the side of Route 15 in Jackman..

Inside the bed of the truck were parts of two moose— and a third was found nearby.

Officials later found the trucks owner and arrested him and his companion.

19-year old Ross Carool of Searsport and 22-year old Howard Button of Texas are facing numerous charges.

Officials say both are stationed at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina— and are believed to be on unauthorized leave from the Marine Corps.

The pair face a mandatory minimum of six days in jail and several thousand dollars in fines.
