Rhoades Bulding Products bought the stores, which had been owned by Ned Jennings for 22 years.
New owner Chris Rhoades already owns the H.F. Pinkham stores in Milbridge and Machias and another building supply company in Ellsworth.
He plans to change the name of all the stores including the Granville locations to Rhoades Building Products.
Governor John Baldacci says he hopes Rhoades will inspire others to do business here in Maine.
Rhoades says he’ll keep the eighty employees who now work at the two Granville locations.
He also hopes to add thirty to forty more jobs soon.
