The Fountain House’s Tuscan Deep Fried Artichoke Hearts 


1 can of artichoke hearts (not marinated)

1 cup of flour

2 TBS of Italian Seasonings

2 eggs, whisked

Salt &amp: Pepper to taste


Use a deep fryer or pot with oil heated to 350

Whisk eggs in one shallow dish

Mix flour &amp: Italian Seasonings in another dish

Dredge artichoke hearts in egg and then in flour mixture

Place in hot oil and cook until a golden brown (Approximately 2-3 minutes)

Drain, salt &amp: pepper to taste, and serve with warm marinara sauce or a cool lemon tartar for dipping
