The campaign supporting a referendum
proposal to allow a racino in eastern Maine has raised more then
$700,000 so far and continues to lead the opponents’ campaign in

on Question 1 political action committee raised $701,000 through

Casinos No! and a smaller PAC which oppose the Passamaquoddy
Tribe’s plan for the harness race track and slots facility received
a combined total of nearly $254,000. Between them, they have
$62,000 on hand.
