Drivers in Bangor and Brewer need to get ready for even more road construction.
Starting Monday, the Penobscot river bridge connecting the two cities will be under repair.
The work will start at 6 a.m. and is expected to take about a week.
The south side of the bridge will be closed to traffic: two way traffic will continue on the north side.
Also in Bangor, the Essex Street bridge will be closed starting on Monday, and won’t reopen until July 2008.
Essex Street will be closed to through traffic from Stillwater ave to the Burleigh road.
Police are asking drivers to be mindful of the detours and to slow down when driving near the construction zones.
