Muddy Rudder’s 4 Layer Chocolate Cherry Cake with Cream Cheese/Buttercream Frosting 

Chocolate Cake

12 oz flour

12 Tcocoa powder

8 eggs

6 oz sugar

4 oz butter

Preheat oven to 350. Butter and flour two 8&quot: cake pans.(I use Pam and parchment papper).

Combine dry ingredients in a bowl and set aside.

In a metal mixing bowl over boiling water whisk eggs and sugar until 110. Remove and continue whisking until fluffy. Fold in dry ingredients. Then fold in melted butter.

Divide cake batter.

Bake for approx. 25 minutes until firm.

Cream Cheese/Buttercream Frosting

12 Cconfectioners sugar

2 Cbutter

2 Ccream cheese

4 t vanilla

2-4 t whipping cream

Cherry Filling

3 cans of your favorite pie filling

In a standing mixer cream together butter sugar and creamcheese. Add vanilla and cream. Mix for another minute.

After cake has cooled cut both layersin half to form 4 round cakes. Put first layer down and spread with 1/3 pie filling. Place a second layer and cover with pie filling repeat until done. Spread with buttercream frosting. Garnish with maraschino cherries.
