Lawyers for Nicholas and Lola Kampf say they’ve reached a plea agreement in which the most serious charge of kidnapping will be dropped.
In return, the couple will plead guilty to assault and disorderly conduct.
But the assault charge will be dropped also, if the Kampfs attend counseling.
Authorities say the couple tied up their daughter at their North Yarmouth home and drove her toward New York in hopes of convincing her to have an abortion.
But the girl managed to slip away during a stop in New Hampshire, where she called police.
The daughter, Katelyn Kampf, says she’s frustrated that the District Attorney is dropping the felony kidnapping charge.
She calls the agreement ":barely a slap on the wrist":.
