Guilty Plea in Bed and Breakfast Murders

Just one day before jury selection was scheduled to begin in a quadruple murder trial, the man accused of killing four people in Western Maine a year ago, admits to the crimes in court.

Christian Neilsen entered the four guilty pleas Tuesday.

Prosecutors claim Neilsen killed and dismembered three women at the Black Bear Bed and Breakfast in Newry in September 2006.

That was after he killed a man from Arkansas, then multilated and burned his body near Upton.

Neilsen’s guilty pleas can be withdrawn if the court decides that he’s not competent to stand trial, and that his confession is in-admissible.
