The Penobscot Nation is hoping to take fire safety beyond the usual drills at its local schools.
They’ve started a new injury prevention program for kids up through the fifth grade.
Monday, they set up shop at the school.
Kids learned to stop, drop and roll was well as some hands on training in the real deal, when they walked through a simulated house fire.
There was also a bounce house, feauring Sparky the fire dog.
This is National Fire Prevention Week.
