No one was hurt in the fire at the Goodhue family farm, but the house filled with generations of history may be gone forever.
Seven fire departments were on hand to put out the fire engulfing Greg Goodhue’s farmhouse. Goodhue was at a race at the time, but his sons were home when it all started.
The boys made it out of the home safely.
Fire marshals still have to determine the cause of the fire, and the Red Cross has stepped in to take care of the family, though they have family in the area, and will have housing in the sort term.
The question still remains however, if they can salvage a house that has been in the family for years. Fire chief Richard Jandreau isn’t sure, he says that the home in all likelihood is not salvageable.
