A business consultant from Mount Vernon is the Republican nominee in a special election to fill the Maine House District 83 seat.
66-year-old Clyde Dyar was chosen during a party caucus Friday night in Augusta.
He’ll face democrat Pat Jones…she’s the widow of state representative Deane Jones, who previously held the seat.
He died unexpectedly this month from complications of lung cancer.
A special election will be held November 6th.
This is the third time in three months voters from District 83 will elect a representative.
Representative Abigail Holman died in a skiing accident back in March.
