Fire crews from several towns had a tough time battling a house fire in Bangor Saturday.
Crews were called to a home on Stillwater ave, on the Veazie line, just after 11 a.m.
By the time they arrived, a 2-car garage was engulfed in flames, and the fire had spread to the one and a half story home.
Bangor firefighters had to call in tankers from the Air National Guard and four nearby towns.
They managed to put the flames out, but not before facing some challenges…there were two large propane tanks next to the burning garage.
Luckily, no one was home at the time of the fire.
The 2-car garage is a total loss…we’re told the upper half of the home was heavily damaged, while the lower half has water damage.
A separate garage and a car also had some heat damage.
No word yet on what sparked the fire.
