The head baseball coach at Dirigo High
School is free on bail after his arrest for sexual assault
involving a teenage student in Rumford over the past year.
Thirty-three-year-old Donald Hebert of Rumford was charged
yesterday with gross sexual assault, a Class C felony. He was
released on $800 bail.
Rumford police Lieutenant Mark Cayer said Hebert is accused of
engaging in a sexual relationship with a student under 18.
According to the Sun Journal of Lewiston, Hebert coached varsity
baseball and was an educational technician at Dirigo High, located
in Dixfield. He was also the junior varsity girls basketball coach
at Rumford’s Mountain Valley High School last year.
