Plymouth Accident

It happened just after noon, when a black buick car, travelling east bound on Rt. 7 left the road and struck several trees.

According to state troopers, the driver, 22-year old Vanessa Newton says she took her eyes off of the road to find her son’s bottle when she crashed.

Newton had to be extracted from the car and was taken to E.M.M.C. with a broken leg. At the time of the accident, Newton was operating the vehicle on a suspended license.

Newton’s 2-year-old daughter suffered only minor injuries as a result of the crash, and her one-year-old son was uninjured.

Newton’s husband, 24-year old christopher, was able to escape the wreck on his own.

All occupants of the car were transported to E.M.M.C. for medical treatment and observation.

State police say alcohol and speed were not factors in the crash.

Vanessa Newton was summonsed for operating a vehicle while under suspension, as well as several other traffic infractions.
