A two-year old boy is now in foster care, after he was found wandering alone on the streets of Bangor. The toddler was walking around on his own near the intersection of State Street and Parkview Avenue early Thursday morning.
A woman who was driving by saw the boy and brought him to the police station. He was too young to say where he lives or what his name is. So police brought the boy to the Department of Health and Human Services.
The mother finally came forward six hours later. But she was ruled not fit to take care of the boy.
At the moment, the case is inthe hands of the State. The District Attorney is deciding whether any charges should be filed.
