Ecstacy Bust in Northern Maine

Police seized more than 2-million dollars worth of the street drug known as ecstacy.

A person in Aroostook County saw someone loading duffle bags into a vehicle along Route One in Hamlin, and told police.

State drug agents and immigration officials eventually located the vehicle and its driver the next day.

44-year-old Bernard LaFrancois told them about two duffel bags and a suit case at a public storage facility in Van Buren.

Police found more than 98-thousand tablets.

LaFrancois is charged with aggravated trafficking in drugs and is free on bail.
